My Mother’s Italian My Father’s Jewish & I’m In Therapy

Playing at the Bathurst Theatre  at 736 Bathurst St. in the Annex until January.  This is a one man show with a good stage set which takes place in a Therapist’s office.  Laughter is good for the soul and great for the health.  The audience laughed through this whole production.

Nice also was the fact that it was good humor not rude humor full of bad language which seems to be common in many productions these days.  In  fact notable of late have I found the amount of foul language that some theatre groups seem to feel is necessary in their productions. Making me want to walk out.

No fault of Kreppel the lone performer but personally about half way through I started to get a bit bored.  This was standard self deprecating Jewish Italian humor.  If you have heard it once generally you have heard it all.  But if you haven’t heard it before you will love this production.

The show goes on tour to Zrizona, Maryland and Coral Springs Florida where it will certainly find many retiress who will get a great kick out of it.
