If your wondering where to find a great Farmers Market at this time of year… other than the St Lawrence which has become almost impossible to move about in on a Saturday morning here is a list.

Some of these are seasonal and others year round.  But from east to wes you should be able to find yourself some good fresh organic and local fare.

Farmers Markets and Market Events in Toronto

West Side Farmers Markets

Crème Fraiche Market Café, year-round. Tuesdays-Sundays, 8am-8pm. 639 Annette Street, at the corner of Annette and Durie, west of Runnymede Rd.

Monforte Dairy “cheese ladies”, Constance Dykun and Rachel Silva, have opened up their brand new local food market and café in the west end! Chock full of farmers’ market local fare from Chocosol, DeFloured, St. John’s Bakery bread, and of course, Monforte Dairy cheeses, Crème Fraiche aims to showcase the local food talent in the city and province. http://cremefraichemarket.com/about/

Sorauren Park Farmers’ Market, year-round. Mondays, 3pm-7pm. Sorauren Park, 50 Wabash Ave. http://westendfood.coop/farmers-market

Central Core Farmers Markets

 The Stop Farmers’ Market at Wychwood Barns, year-round. Saturdays, 8am-12pm. 76 Wychwood Ave. http://www.thestop.org/green-barn-market

 Evergreen Brick Works Farmers’ Market, year-round. During the winter (November-April), every Saturday from 9am-1pm. During the summer (May-October), every Saturday from 8am-1pm. 550 Bayview Ave. http://ebw.evergreen.ca/whats-on/farmers-market/

 Good Food Market at The Stop Community Food Centre, year-round. Tuesdays, 3pm-5:30pm. During late fall and early spring (October-April), the market is held indoors in The Stop’s Drop-In at 1884 Davenport Rd. and during the spring and summer (May-September), the market is held at 1990 Davenport Rd. http://thestop.org/good-food-market-and-bake-oven

 Metro Hall Farmers’ Market, year-round. Thursdays, 8am-2pm. During the winter (November-April), last Thursday of every month in the CBC Broadcasting Building at 250 Front Street West. During the summer (May-October), every Thursday starting May 31st at Simcoe Place Park just outside the CBC building, and at David Pecaut Square at 221 King Street West thereafter.
