Some of the very best Sushi in town. I always have a great meal at District on Queen St. in South Riverdale. Not the traditional Japanese look and feel. Much more Bistro like.
This time we had dinner on the rear patio. I had the nigiri sushi which was lovely large slices of the most delicious sashimi I have had since the last time I dined at District. The only thing missing were the shiso leaves which are generally always served with sashimi. The ginger was homemade not a bottled version
We also had a good assortment of rolls and the spicy salmon and tuna are also a hit. Good hot sake. We hadn’t dined on the backyard patio before and it was very charming with lots of plants and herbage to green it. The service here is always excellent although they never have more than one server.
It was a Wednesday night and there was a very good crowd at the end of June in the midst of a hot summer evening. So that tells you a bit more of the quality here.
